One of the things we pride ourselves on at Jack in the Box is our amazing franchisees. Many of our franchisees have owned their franchises for multiple generations and we are now seeing 2nd and 3rd generation franchisees become operators themselves. Another testament to this is that our average franchisee owns 20 restaurants! Watch the inspirational video to see what our owners are saying about Jack in the Box.
Well, I I moved out here to California, to work for Jack in the Box. And over a six year span, I went from division vice president to vice president of operations for the West Coast. So at the end of my time with Jack, I ran about two billion dollars, a billion and a half for franchise ops, and then a half a billion with seven thousand employees for company operations across the Western United States. But I knew I wasn't gonna be able to run it all. I sat down with the president, Francis, who I worked for at the time. And I said, "Can I be a franchisee?" And I'll never forget her reaction. She said, "Where did that come from?" And she's like, do you have the money? And I said, well, not really, but I'll find the money. And she said, if you can find the money, we'll talk. So I went to an existing franchisee, Mark and Karen. They have been here for over fifty years with Jack in the Box, and they were willing to be my partners. And I came back to Jack in the Box, and they sold seven company owned restaurants here in San Diego. People love Jack in the Box, grew up on Jack in the Box, and now they're bringing their grandchildren to come to Jack in the Box. The other thing is really the brand team. I knew all the executives, and I I trust them a lot. So when you know they're competent and they're doing a great job. It really makes it easy to invest in the brand. And really, the last thing quite honestly is the money. I knew I could make money being a franchisee of Jack in the Box. Anytime in any industry that you can, bring in people to make it multi-generational. That's the foundation for success. And I think Jack in the Box does a really good job of not only bringing in new franchisees, but building on the relationships that they have in order to foster relationships that are multi-generational. Being in the business for twenty five years, I have a lot of confidence in me. So it's nice about being a franchisee as opposed to when I was corporate. It's me making the decisions. It's the culture of the company is how I think we should go. So I really like the ability to own that and drive that. But for me, it also is the people. You know, it's so exciting. Just, you know, there are so many people we've helped grow in our business, get promoted in our business. And quite frankly, we've helped people go to college and work around their schedule. And when they graduate, they leave us, and that's fine. I want to see people grow. And as long as you like people, this is actually quite an easy job. I think the Jack in the Box model works so because, well, first of all, it always ensures me a job through college, through high school. And I think it helps the people who already work here know that it's gonna stay in the family for a while. So hopefully one day I'll come back and I'll run it just like my dad. So I I would have to say my job is easy because I have great people. But really, when I look at how I do my job, as a franchisee, my district manager does the food cost and some of the restaurant things. And for me, it's more the training, managing the vendors, managing of projects and just really try to know every single employee. Being an assistant manager at Jack in the Box has really helped, for me, to identify some areas of improvement as well as all of my strengths. And I think that being able to work for my dad and seeing how well that he was able to put his career together, I wanna follow in his footsteps and do that. I'm really proud that we drove sales coming in and following the systems and working with the people, the sales have went through the roof. Thank you have a beautiful day!

So another huge reason to consider Jack in the Box is our awesome training and that we provide, whether it's finding a location to build, our real estate department, helping you get everything you need, the construction, and then also training your employees and then marketing, getting customers to your stores, and all the awesome digital advertising, and cool stuff that we do from that standpoint.
